Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Station police have made a significant breakthrough in the Sony Brothers fake call center case.
Asit Adak, a resident of Maheshtala, has been arrested by the police for his involvement in the case. Asit Adak was the manager and accountant of Gaurav Soni, one of the two brothers involved in the case. The police have already recovered around 4 crore rupees from the two brothers, as well as several gadgets, computers, hard disks, luxury cars, and guns used in the call center.
Following the arrest of Asit Adak, the police have launched a full-scale investigation into the case. It has been revealed that Asit Adak was responsible for operating fake call centers in the Vidhan Nagar area.
The Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police began a probe into the incident and have conducted several raids in various call centers in the area. During these raids, the police recovered many documents and other evidence.
Asit Adak was arrested from Maheshtala on May 5, 2023. The police believe that his arrest will help them to unravel the whole case and identify the assets of the two brothers involved in the call center racket.
